Anonymous asked: y'know, at some point i think there's some merit in the idea that you should stop posting things as indirect "nsfw" links, and just take the short trip into your settings and check the box "mark blog as nsfw." That, or, since about half of tumblr is indiscriminately nsfw already, just not care, because i'm not sure the rest of us do. Sorry to be blunt, i just hate having to go through all these links :P
I was thinking about this anon. The problem is that despite the things I enjoy in the NSFW department, my blog (like me) isn’t 100% NSFW. I love Doctor Who, The Mets, Auburn, Politics, Music, Philosophy, WWII history and a hundred other things to boot, none of which are NSFW.
Linking to adult content instead of posting it outright is the compromise that I arrived at when I decided to stop filtering what I would actually post. I know many people who I share other (safe for work) interests with wouldn’t appreciate it. Now, it’s all on here and the people who don’t want to see it don’t have to (and even the people who do want to see it don’t have to worry about looking at it while at school or the office).
From here on out my goal is to be as close to WYSIWYG as possible. What You See Is What You Get: Porn, bourbon, sports, politics, and all the rest of it. That’s simply who I am.
