World’s largest passenger ship 1912 vs 2012. Oasis of the Seas vs Titanic. 225,000 tons vs 46,500 tons.(Though modern ships are gross tons, pre 1970’s it was gross registered tons which are a bit different in measurement). It should be noted, gross tonnage is not the weight of a ship as many people think, it’s a measure of the internal carrying volume.

Nice size comparison. It’s hard to imagine just how much ships have grown in the last 100 years.
