Speaker For The Dead seems to be so much better than I remember. I knew it was great, but I remembered a book I didn’t enjoy anywhere near as much as Ender’s Game the first time around simply because it wasn’t my style of novel. I still think I prefer the Shadow series because it’s more action based, but I’m definitely glad I’m getting more enjoyment from Card’s more introspective novels.
I saw this because Ender’s Game is a tracked tag, but I agree 100%.
I initially read Speaker for the Dead in 7th grade and didn’t appreciate it. When I re-read it last year, I was stunned by how incredible it was.
